Make sure the checkboxes for ‘Share this calendar with others’ and ‘Make this calendar public’ are selected with ‘See all event details’ dropdown set.

*This will not actually make your calendar information available on the open web as it suggests

Click ‘Save’ and ‘Yes’

*Again, this will not make your calendar searchable. Try searching for ‘Spacesift Inc Calendar Google’ if you need reassurance

WAIT 24 HOURS TO SHARE CALENDAR WITH ANYONE

*If you don’t, the sharing settings with that individual will not save. You will find it unbelievably frustrating if you try

After you’ve waited 24 hours for the settings to update, place the email address of the person you are sharing the calendar with in the empty input field, select their permission settings, then click ‘Add Person’

Make changes AND manage sharing – great if you or a few people run multiple calendars and those you share with need to share parts of the calendar with others. Say Mom has a ‘Family’ calendar and shares it with Dad, then Dad wants to share ‘Free/Busy’ information with the Grandparents. Everyone who has access to the calendar and their permission settings will be listed on this screen no matter who shares with who, so you can sleep tight knowing everyone who can see the calendar and what they can see.

Make changes to events – this is helpful if you want someone else to manage your calendar, but you still want to retain full control over sharing privileges. Say Boss gives access to Assistant to create, edit, and delete events, but Boss doesn’t want Assistant giving any access to others.

See all event details – if you want someone to see your calendar in all its glory, but also want them to keep their grubby hands off of making any changes. Basketball Team wants to provide game schedule to parents and students with Details and Locations of game, but doesn’t want them to make changes.

See only free/busy – allows someone to see that there are available and unavailable blocks of time on a calendar, but doesn’t want to share anything more than that. Dentist wants to show availability to clients, but doesn’t want them to see who appointments are with.
