The Wildflower Barn

The Wildflower Barn is a lovely outdoor Texas Hill Country wildflower wedding venue located in Driftwood, TX about 30 minutes outside of Austin. The nine acre property is home to various wildflower and cactus gardens, water features, garden ponds and expansive lawns. On site there are two unique outdoor venue options that can accommodate up to 120 guests each: the Bluebonnet Barn and the Meadow Barn.

The Bluebonnet Barn is a vintage style red 20 x 30’ barn with an adjacent 2,000 sq. ft. reception area. The outdoor reception area is shaded by a canopy of live oak trees strung with thousands of sparkly lights. The barn is fully equipped with a sound system for MP3 or iPod plug-in. In the colder months, the outdoor area will contain propane heaters and a built-in fire pit. The bridal suite is a short distance away from the barn and looks out into the butterfly/hummingbird garden. The suite contains a full length mirror, vanity with lights and plenty of seating.

The Meadow Barn is a rustic cedar 20 x 30’ barn nestled among the live oaks, cedar elms and junipers. The barn has the Star of Texas built into the dance floor, full sound system and opens to a reception area with a 10 x 40’ long covered porch. There are two “official” wedding ceremony sites to choose from — the wildflower field and a small meadow surrounded by trees but you can also choose any other location you want. The Meadow Barn is surrounded by the butterfly/hummingbird garden and pond with the bridal suite attached to the building.

Each Barn has its own ceremony area, wildflower area, reception space, bathrooms, bridal suite and designated parking. The full day rental is from 1pm to 11pm and you can choose which Barn you would like to hold your event at. The Wildflower Barn prides itself in keeping your costs low and giving you the freedom to choose your own vendors and DIY the venue to really personalize the space.
