The Etter-Harbin Alumni Center

Texas Exes have made their home at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, located on the University of Texas at Austin campus across the street from famed Darrell K Royal—Texas Memorial Stadium, home of beloved Longhorn Football.

This University of Texas Alumni Center is expansive, including nine spaces that are available for events, from meetings to weddings. The space is an especially beloved wedding venue for alumni of the university, with many couples who met during their time as undergraduates choosing to make their commitment to one another on the very same campus. The Connally Ballroom acts as the main—and most popular—event space and can hold 350 guests for a seated reception.

Guests specifically note the presence of Texas history throughout the Alumni Center, bringing a celebration of the treasured state into any event. The space is home to Texas paintings and sculptures as well as stunning woodwork, iron chandeliers and sconces and 290 degrees of floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooking Waller creek and the campus. For an added touch, there is also a sky-light, so guests can dine under the night sky.

Other favorite spaces in the Alumni Center include the main lounge—with leather couches, true cowhide chairs and elegant marble coffee tables—and Cowboy Pavilion, an outdoor, covered patio with sun shades and misters to help guests beat the Texas heat.

When holding an event at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, guests work with the RK Group to plan and perfect the occasion, and use of the on-site caterer is required for catered events.
