What is now the building that hosts Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill once served as a dry good store. Between 1952 and today it has seen many renovations, but it wasn’t until 2003 that Moonshine officially opened its doors. In the National Register of Historic Places, you’ll find it listed as the Hofheintz-Reissig Store.

Not only is Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill a large part of Austin’s cultural and architectural heritage, it is also a staple in its culinary scene, as well. And when it comes to Sunday Brunch, this place is legendary.

Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill has ample space for events, including their patio and nook that can hold up to 125 guests. Their patio is Marquis tent covered and in the summer, is even cooled with fans. Should you have a small group, their private Sunday House is the ideal spot to host up to 25 guests. It is important to note that for the patio, their food and beverage minimum is $3,000, set-up and private room fee is $500 and the minimum gratuity is $775 or 18 percent, whichever is greater, all going to five private event servers and bartenders along with support staff.

Banquet menu options include either a four course dinner or buffet and passed appetizer menu. Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill’s menu includes southern comfort favorites such as their Green Chile Macaroni with Grilled Chicken. When it comes to drink service, you have four options for your event: Open Bar, Open-Limited Bar, Open or Limited Bar with Drink Tickets, or a Cash Bar.
